Just bought a playstation 3!!!

i am old i guess... because all i can think of is super mario, now im playing madden 08 vs other people online!!? video games sure have changed..

can anyone suggestion good titles to check out?? i like all types of games, except i dont really want to get too involved in a huge RPG..
i heard call of duty 4 was cool and say the thread, anything else?

Definately Call of Duty 4. Well worth it because you getr a cool story mode and awesome online play.

Call of Duty 4 is an A+ IMO and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 is sick as well. also if your a golf fan you can never go wrong with Tiger woods

COD 4 is fun.........Online is good when it works but they have a crap set of severs sometimes it is hard to get a game going on Ps3.


Their is suppose to be an update coming out soon I hope they fix up the servers a bit when they do that


It is a good game though if you like to run around an shoot people.


A lot of games coming out now are pretty good......BLACK SITE SUCKS THOUGH !!!!


Jsut check out the online store every thursday when they update it and they put up a demo or 2 most weeks so you can get an idea for some games.......They don't do every game though

COD4 - awesome but short 1 player and very good online
Assassins Creed - good but repetative
Uncharted - Good action game, cant really compare it to any 1 game, its like Tomb Raider / Gears of war / Assassins Creed

I bought the new Ratchet and Clank and it's awesome, I would recommend buying it for sure. Although I haven't played it yet, a friend says that Ninja Gaiden is the best PS3 title to date.

thanks everyone... i still cant get over the graphics.... i saw some game in the store where you are a fighter plane, not usually into those games but the graphics were mind blowing, especially on a 61 inch tv... COD4 is something i think i have to try it seems.... i love online madden play, i could do it all day lol

My favourite game is NHL 08 the graphics are superb and the gameplay great you should definetly check it out.

The plane game maybe Warhawk. Only online but very fun to play (split screen up to 4 players also)

I recommend super stardust HD or everyday shooter from the playstation store. I've had hours of fun from them both and they're only like 5.99 each.

Im playing this atm on the 360, its a bit disappointing imo.

The environments all look wicked, but the actual gameplay is lacking a bit. Plus the pickpocket/interrogate/assasinate missions get a bit samey.

This game had so much potential but they ruined it by making it so damn easy and repetitive.

I'll telll you the game i have and what i think about each.

Motostorm: Rent it, its fun but short.

Ninja Gaiden: Its always the same thing.

Elder Scroll 4: Very long and fun, i loved it.

Rainbow Six Vegas: CoD 4 is a better Shooter

F1: Not bad but if you like racing game, Burnout is comign soon

NHL 2008: Using 2 jostick to move around your player and stick and shoot is pretty fun. Worth to rent if you like hockey.

Guitar Hero 3: Most people like this game. Didnt played much but i like it(I,m busy with COD)

Ratchet and Clank: I loved this game, its pretty long and its fun.

Call of Duty 4: THe bomb! Its great online.

Assassin Creed: To short and always the same thing. RENT ONLY

Skate: Nice if you like skateboarding.

My recommand:
If you like RPG, Elder Scroll is a good long one
Ratchet and Clank is really fun and it was a good thing to buy it. I went through it 2 month ago but i think i'll restart from 0 again. And then Call of Duty 4 is just great if you like online shooter.

Got the RROD on my 360 so I won't be playing that until Microsoft fixes it, I will be online on Ps3 a lot.
