Ruthless Aggression PC Game
I'm new here, and am currently working on a game that can be played on the PC called Ruthless Aggression using an old wrestling game engine. I plan on creating CUSTOM wrestlers, fighters, boxers, martial artists, and kickboxers from various parts of the world. I also plan on having little fighting stages such as boxing rings, cages, and training rooms.
I am posting here to get any information that would like to be shared or ideas for attires and fighting gear.
Here's a preview of one of the completed fighter models. I plan on having 2 fighting attires, 1 sparring/training attire, and 1 street attire.
Adrian "The Venom" Wells
I'll post more as I go if there is interest in it.

OF COURSE there's interest in it! Especially around here. Keep us posted, man. This is really fascinating stuff, and I'd love to get my hands on a playable version. The models actually look pretty good -- not exactly cutting edge top-level stuff, but I can't say enough that none of that matters if the game is fun.
So when you say you're creating custom fighters, you mean you don't want to include any real guys? Is that because you want to avoid copyright infringement?
There's another operation similar to what you're talking about that someone mentioned in another thread in this section, where they're using the old THQ WCW engine for N64, in combination with an emulator for PC. Your fighter models actually look much better.

The model can be better, but it is using an old N64 wrestling game as the base.
Copyright is one reason for being custom, and another reason is I want to build it all from scratch, and make it believable. I just think it would be fun.

Absolutely. Best of luck. Keep us posted. Are you skilled enough to actually be able to animate and code new moves? Like can you take this engine and incorporate thai clinches and knees and elbows in the clinch?

For sure man! I'd love to hear how it goes. I have so many ideas for a game like this; but it might be too complex or whatever. I was just thinking about how controls would work for a game like this on a 360 controller and i was thinking about how to accurately capture the grappling aspect.
Anyways, the models look cool, I hope that you can really bring this game along and that it turns out how you want it to.
EDIT: One quick suggestion: NO HEALTH METERS. It's counter-intuitive to have health bars in a game like this. If anything, have a stamina bar or momentum meter - perhaps a stamina bar would tie in to how fast you move and how hard you hit, and how fast you can defend - but don't let it be a case of "stamina empty, next shot knocks you out," you should still be able to fight w/o stamina - but you'll be gassed.

I just noticed that the WWE Raw 2 game that's been out for a while is subtitled "Ruthless Aggression", so you might consider changing the name. If you care about that sort of thing.

Well I was doing a WWE project called Ruthless Aggression, and already had a domain name and a lot of graphics.
It might change. It's going to be WCF - "Title"
WCF standing for World Championship Fighting since about 20 different countries will be represented. I'm trying to finish off a fighting/training area for the next preview.

I would suggest "Toothless Aggression"... but, the WWE has that one as well.
Anyways, this is a decent game idea.
