It was called Mike Tyson's Punch Out on NES. I still have it and play it occasionally. Yeah, I beat Tyson along time ago. I dont have the patience to sit and play for hours to beat him again.

I had Mike Tyson's Punch Out but I was never able to beat Tyson. My brother could though so it's not impossible, just really freaking hard.

I broke an NES controller as a kid because of that damn game. For the record, the aerodynamic characteristics of the NES controller allow it to easily traverse a room and hit the wall. Multiple times.

Whatīs the name of that boxing game that was out like in 85-86. The boxers had huge gloves.. I could swear it was also called Punch out or Knock out.

I think it was Punch Out. Was that the one where you were a grid? Bald Bull was one of the fighters you fought.

na, thatīs not it either. Dang, I canīt remember the name. It was always two guys in the ring, no grid, two little figures and big gloves, the best part was the sound the punches made.
By the way the one you are talking about, you can play here...

I believe it was called Ring King ...Thats the only other boxing game for the NES that i remember.
http://www.consoleclassix.com/gamein...gking_nes.html
I thought that was a pretty good boxing game as well...Though my personal favorite was Evander Holyfield boxing for the Sega Genesis.

What a classic game. Don't feel bad, I never could beat Tyson on that game either. Another boxing game I liked was Buster Douglas Boxing on Sega Genesis.

If I remember correctly, there is a pattern that you have to do to beat Mike Tyson.
I don't remember the pattern cause it was so long ago.

Yeah, when he winks you dodge the jab, then hit him once up top. When he flashes, dodge the uppercuts then you can hit him several times.

I took mr dream to decision several times, but was never able to win despite landing hundreds more punches (damn boxing judges).
There was a punch-out arcade game that predates the NES version where you were a grid and Bald bull was the 2nd opponent.
I got so good at super punch-out that I could beat every fighter in the game within a minute. After that, the game got old.
Fight Night 2004 has been the only boxing game since the original punch-out that I've enjoyed and found realistic.

I remember back in 89, just got my TKD black belt and I was fighting at a Karate Tournament and won 1st place, then came home and beat Mike Tyson on Punchout (with the codes of course) after trying for about a year on that freakin game.
I loved it.
